Priority Home Mortgage is a direct mortgage lender headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We're a small team by design: the loan advisor who quotes your loan is the one who works your file, returns your calls, and shows up at closing.

What being a direct lender means for you

Your loan is underwritten in-house, not shipped to a stranger's queue. That means faster, more consistent decisions, straight answers early, and a file that one team controls from application to closing. And because we carry one of the largest portfolios of non-QM and alternative loan programs around, "you don't fit the box" is rarely the end of the conversation. That sits alongside the full standard lineup: conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and a dozen more. When waiting or another path is genuinely better for you, we'll say so.

How this branch started

The team here came with Matthew Peterson when the Grand Rapids branch opened, and it opened alongside Heather Lauren, a licensed loan officer and one of the branch's founders. Heather brought ideas, energy, and a lot of hard work to the early years. She passed away in 2026, and we are glad she was part of how this started.
